Yogi Berra Player Set

I noticed on Ebay today that someone had listed a large number of vintage Yogi Berra PSA 9 MINT cards:

Then I looked at the PSA Set Registry and noticed that Berra did not even have a Registry for any of his cards. I was kind of surprised to see them. Berra is a very popular player who played for a long time in an era dominated by the Yankees. I would have thought given the large number of Yankee fans and vintage collectors that someone out there would be collecting high-grade Berra cards as a player set. And I am sure that there are those people -- I was just surprised not to see any of them taking advantage of the Registry yet. Interesting!

    Last time I checked, there wasn't an Ernie Banks player set either...this also suprised me.

    Those are some nice cards up for sale. There are a few guys that should have, or one would think would have, registry sets but don't yet.

    I am surprised as well that there isn't a Berra player set. I'd bet there are some collectors out there that have a good % of his cards in their sets already.
