Englehard American Prospector Coin

Hey Gang,...trying to find out some info on these coins I have had for awhile that I aquired when given to me with other coins long ago.It is a Englehard One Troy Ounce coin with 1984(one has 1987) and "The American Prospector" on Opposite side.I have looked thru coin books trying to find it but as of yet have had no luck.
I am trying to find out a little about how it came to be,Value and what book would I need to buy to find it in?
They are in small plastic pouchs and 1 is browned at edge by what appears to be caused by contact with the small peice of scotch tape holding pouch closed.Any thoughts on how to clean of brown discoloration?

  • They are only worth about the spot price of silver and have no numismatic value.

They are Silver bullion investment rounds they are worth a tad under the current silver spot Prospector rounds. I have a ton of them somewhere around here in a box. Rounds were made by several different metals assayers. Sunshine mine is another that comes to mind.
