PCGS MS68 State Quarter prices

I was doing some ebay surfing last night to see if I saw anything Interesting that I liked and I saw some auctions ending with some serious high prices. They were the 1999 State Quarters. I had no idea that the populations were so low and that they commanded such high prices. I guess I have been trying to upgrade/fill my dollar coin sets too long.

I looked thru a few 1000 coin bags from the mint but it just took too long and for so few nice looking coins.

Does anyone here still look thru rolls or bags? Anything with grades like these? How do you come about those rolls/bags? US Mint or the town Bank?

The '99 issues have proven extremely elusive to me. The mint sets are usually
the most likely source to find moderns in nice shape but the quarters in the '99
set are generally not very good. BU rolls have been even worse so far.

If you look back the last two years, in certain months price went up and in certain months price went down. Right now, the price trend is at the up cycle.

For State quarters, my believe is that price will stay at this level (or go higher a little bit). Before 2008 (or 2009), I don't see the price level will crash unless PCGS changes the grading standard/policy. image
