Teletrade Pricing History

Looks like they've eliminated it.

Wayne - To the best of my knowledge most coin dealers use the Heritage pricing guide because it is more happening, more current and easier to use.I hope Heritage opens up their data base to include ALL auction houses.

I'm talking about the little numbers that usually appear at the end of the description that show the 12 month range. I no longer see this range as part of the description.

    Stewart,

Yes, the Heritage guide is a lot more useful on most coins. However, they don't have as much history on late-date moderns as Teletrade does. It would be great if Heritage (or someone) collected all prices realized in one place electronically searchable. Even getting a couple of the other majors along with Heritage would be great.

The TT range was pretty useless anyway but I wonder what their reason was for discontinuing it.

I hope that's just a temporary thing. I liked the last 12 months history and that new thing, the prices realized. It was handy & interesting.

They seem to have added a price history when you actually click on some of the coins though, like on this one.

Yeah, I do like that new feature. It gives enough info to be useful and being able to look back at the coins with prices that are on the extremes with just a click is nice too. Maybe they felt like with that new feature they could omit the 12 month range in the descriptions. Will have to take a look at the print catalog when the next one arrives and see if it has changed there too.

I guess it does make the old history useless. The thing about the old history if it said pcgs $40 ngc $50 you didn't know if it was just 2 coins that had sold or 202. I find the new Previous Price History gives you a better idea of trends value according to pricing history.

How can you say that? It's very helpful to see a price range of: $6i - $320p on a $60 coin. imageimageimage
