Is this original toning on this seated liberty?

Appears the picture was just removed from the completed Ebay sale. Too bad - hope you saw it. Placid, no it wasn't mine. I tried to buy but was not high enough.

seems funny that the feilds are toned, but not the rims. it doesnt look right to me.

I believe it to be 100% original (and nice too). See how the toning doesn't creep over the date? That's tough to fake. The blend and mix of colors is correct (and the order too) for this type of album rim toning. There are other tell tale signs or this coin's toning authenticy too.
    Very attractive.

I was nuts about this coin a few weeks ago, but didn't bid high enough. I was concerned about AT.

I think it is original also for the very reasons braddick mentioned and also that the toning doesn't go over the rims, and there is tone in the low parts of the skirt...it is very nice

Looks like the higher points of the coins including the rims was touching another surface, such as a wooden cabinet tray, slowing down the toning process while the recessed areas were more exposed to air allowing for more toning.

On the other hand a superficial handling of the coin might have removed the toning off the higher points of the coins.
