Perfection or fun?

At the general level of this board of collectors, hobbyist's. Is our concern more about perfection? Or is the focus more on having fun? I tend to do both. I buy mid level coins for a reason that I have no idea about. But then I focus on perfection, one or two elusive coins at a time. I am not competitive about my collecting, and my collection more than carries my EGO.
