What do you suppose that value or desire of a 1878cc 90deg. , I'm guessing ms62+ toned dollar would be? I checked out the "rotated die" site, but didn't answer my question.

The 90 degree rotation would probably increase its current value 1.5 to 2 times. IMHO. You may want to check Ebay for other rotated dollar coins sold or being sold.

78cc ms62 is about $125-$150 so $250-$300.

The best you could probably hope for would probably be in the $200-$300 range since so few people collect rotated die coins. You can routinely find pieces with little to no premium, some of the best pieces in my collection were purchased at auction with no premium over normal book value including the only known $10 gold piece with major die rotation (1847-O $10 rotated 175°cw) and I actually paid under book value for my 1871 Shield nickel NGC MS64 rotated 140°ccw. The one thing you have going for you is that it is a Morgan and sometimes Morgan collectors like to have an error in their collection so that might help out the value a little.

Can't tell you what it's worth, but I can tell you that the 1878-CC isthe most commonly found rotated reverse Morgan dollar with rotation of 26 to 90 degrees. 2nd most common, 1888-O, with a rotation of 30 degrees CW to 175 degrees CCW.

It has been published that all rotated reverse dollars are very scarce.
