NCS works its magic!!!

I submitted two 1942/1 Mercury Dimes to NCS for conservation. One was raw when I got it, the other was in an ANACS holder grade VF details, Net F12 (Cleaned). After I got them back from NCS, I resubmitted the coins to ANACS for grading under the Economy service tier. I took almost 8 weeks to get them back, but they both now reside in AU details, Net EF 40 holders! image

VF to AU. That gives me less confidence in ANACS.
  • OK - so these were cleaned coins that they conserved? Did you by any chance get the report that's available to you from NCS? It'd be interesting to know what they did to "conserve" your coins!

    No,
They didn't send me a report of what they had done, just a bill. image Both coins had quite a bit of oxidation when I sent them in. Came back clean as a whistle image

  • Why didn't NCS slab the coins???

Looking for Nationals, Large VF to AU type, 1928 Gold, and WWII Emergency notes. Also a few nice Buffalo Nickels and Morgan Dollars.

I didn't ask NCS to slab them, and at the time I submitted them, I don't believe they were offering the service. Besides that, they won't assign a grade, whereas ANACS will. image
