Trip to the coin shop

I went to the local coin shop today to drop something off to the owner. He let me look at a collection that he is trying to buy. There was a US Type set that had some nice gold. The Type I $1 gold and the $10 Indian were exceptionally nice. There was an 1871 dime that looked to be AU that had a very attractive toning. But the main part of the collection was a complete raw Morgan dollar collection in Capitol holders by date and m/m. Most of the coins were AU and above. The '93-s looked to be VF most of the cc coins were MS. All in all a pretty impressive collection.
Another thing of interest was an UNC roll of 1879-s Morgans. The end coin was beautifully toned but the most impressive thing about it was that the price tag from his original purchase was still on the roll.....$40 !! The gentleman that collected the coins was in his 80's when he died and now the heirs are not interested in the coins.......
