would you take a second look at this coin if in an auction or on the bourse?

ngc proof 67 and with deep mirrors and fantastic toning not captured in the scan

fully original milky never dipped played with surfaces

usually these milky seated proofs do not have this coins colors nor eye appeal!!

and really nice for the grade as there are absolutely no hairlines or marks/spots on this fully struck coin

i think the services are scared to give these original milky proof seated coins their due/the real grades

this is why this coin is not in a 68 holder which is okie .............

same goes for the milky proof gold coins that get dipped and then grade two grades higher happens lots and nothing wrong with it as the services especially so the top service currently dictate the market acceptance rules

cameo also and probably close to deep cameo but the original toning negates this designation on the holder

sincerely michael

... and a third, and a fourth! great coin, know what you mean about original "skin" vs "the overdipped look" much prefer the former, thanks keep em coming

  • Nice coin. No opinions on the grade, however.

While NCG's grade is probably pretty close to the mark, you can't assign a Sheldon number to such eye appeal as the coin you are showing to us. NICEimage

Michael, I would NOT take a second look.
I would take one look and then start figuring how much I'd be willing to pay for it. image
