after reading about bad coin pics i thought i should bring this up, it's a great thing to have done. This way if you ever want to sell a coin you will have an ACCURATE picture to post on e-bay.
What I am set out to do is provide photographs to clients that not only stand out as a collection unto themselves, framable work that can hang on the wall or go into a display portfolio, but also give them a pinpoint-accurate rendition of the piece they sent in all the way down to photographing the unique "fingerprints" of the piece itself. Anything that has marks which are unique to that piece will be photographed and included so the piece can be confidently identified to the phtograph later. This includes scratches, bag marks, and toning on coins, placement of a hallmark on porcelain, glaze cracks or chips on statuettes, plates, china, cancellation marks or specific perferation tears on stamps, folds, stains, or even specific thread placement in currency - anything that can be fingerprinted as having been on that piece individually.
New photos have been placed in the original post and in an additional post to the thread linked on the BST board. I have been asked if I offer volume discounts - yes, on an individual case basis. Thanks again.
