Help with foreign address

I received a question from a prospective bidder on eBay asking me what my shipping charges are to:

XXX-XXth Avenue
Regina, SK
S4P 1A2

Since I've only ever shipped to the United States before, can anyone help me with where he is talking about? He wasn't any more specific than the above address.

Btw, the item in question weighs about 3 ounces and I normally charge $2 for bubble mailer shipping when I send this somewhere in the U.S.

Thanks in advance!

    That's Canada alright

You need to get another form from post office for customs - and decide on insurance and how fast to ship

Could end up being from $5-15 depending on size of envelope/package and weight and insured value and overnight/first class/parcel/etc.

    Canada addresses have

    name
    street/apt
    city/province
    XXX XXX <- letter/number/letter space number/letter/number
CANADA <- need to put this on mailing label

    Thanks 2 labmom and sinin1!

I may just stick to saying I only ship to the U.S. It's only a $3.95 item. Seems like a lot of expense and hassel for such a small item.

    I appreciate the help! image

If only $4 item - then may get away with 60cents for 1/2 oz(I think thats the rate) if buyer willing to skip insurance and you can somehow package in an envelope like a letter.

But still is an added shipping/your time burden.

I am not sure I would say US only - because they bid up items and really it isn't that much more of a hassle than stuff sent to US if you go ->delivery confirmation or insurance or registered .

You still need to talk to someone at the counter - if your post office has alot of people that don't know their rules than could take more time for the first one.

For international sellers, here's a real good site that details the addressing formats of every country.

    The UPU's Addressing Formats Page

Can't argue with the UPU, right? I've found this site very useful when sending stuff to all sorts of weird countries (like Canada).

If it is just one coin, put it in a 2X2 envelope and tape it in the middle of a piece of paper. An extra sheet or two of paper will help pad the coin. Use a large size envelope and send it first class. (No customs form)
Tell the buyer it is at his risk and he is responsible for any duties.
Now all you have to do is get paid in US dollars. (Cash works)
The most money I made are on coins I haven't sold.
