CHEERS!!
Great news Tim and the best to you and your family. One thing to keep in mind-you are the first man in your daughter's life and all men she encounters in her life will be judged by the way you treat and love her.

Congratulations Tim !!!!!
I would have to echo Alohaets comments. Also,if this is your first child and especially your first girl, your outlook on life sure is about to change.Being a daddy is absolutely the best miracle in the world.Oh Yeah,Get some sleep!! It may be the last full nights sleep that you get for a while.

My experience is that all of the above comments are right on -- my first child (daughter) is 19 months old today and my life has certainly changed...and all for the better.
I've finally figured out how to buy cards again -- and it's easy...just stop eating!
Congratulations,
Scott
Seriously though, enjoy every moment with her. The time will fly by and before you know it she will be off to school, lessons, etc.
Good Luck in the New Year, STEVE.
Congrats and get ready for many sleepless nights for the next year or so!!!!!

The birth of a child is truly a miracle. I have one girl, and her birth is the single
greatest moment of my life. Best wishes to you and your family.

Those are truly words to live by. Thanks for the reminder.
Rob...
Fabulous news!!!! As the father of two daughters (16 and 14) I can only echo the joys of having girls. The best part is you can spoil them in a completely different manner than if you had boys AND you can still teach them sports without having to develope the macho techniques .
Enjoy your new daughter every second of every day. You can never love her too much.
Take care,
Keith
There can be no better New Year's present than a brand new baby. Have the best of fun in raising her -- and I hope that you are able to take some time off to enjoy her first few weeks. What a wonderful accomplishment!!!

I also was born on New Years day and my other advice would be: 1) be sure your child get's both Christmas and birthday gifts from the relatives. None of this "here's a present for your birthday and Christmas" 2)be sure to shield her from all the quips about costing you a tax deduction (God I've heard that a lot in my 49 years.....as if she had any choice in the matter) 3)unconditional love 4) enjoy her childhood (and all the phases) it goes fast.

and I can tell you two things for sure....
1- Your life will change forever in ways you can not yet imagine
(I have already begun to grasp this one)
and
2- You will never be more fulfilled than after a day away from
her, to come home and have her just smile upon seeing your
face. I swear, winning the lottery can not feel any better!!!
God Bless you and your growing family!
