The clad 76 T1 in PR69 Dcam is the expensive coin. I'll sell you a PCGS PR68-Cam Clad I made on my last invoice for $30, and you pay the freight. My guess is that the bidder didn't see that it was a proof, and mistook it for a MS68 Silver coin, and thought they stole it.

What Teletrade doesn't tell you is the type of sale the coin sold in. In this case, a $250.00 closing price on the PCGS PR68CAM 1976 Ike- it was featured in the "Rainbow Sale" a while back and received its super high bid based on the color of the coin and eye appeal.
I've seen some Morgan dollars with the same, apprarently outragious, Teletrade selling prices and then realized they must have been PQ color coins to recieve that price.
It is a bit deceptive for those that are new and might believe the average coin in the grade went for that kind of money.
<< <i>Thanks Braddick. I missed it. Was it a nice coin? >>
It had premium color- not that typical muted ring toning- but was not of the Peacock calibur. Probably worth the premium paid though as $250.00 for one in a PCGS holder is a cool coin. Also, the 1976 date is a bit tougher with nice toning.
Dang! I should try TeleTrade. I got a 76 PCGS PR69 DCAM Type II on Ebay and I can't get a single bid @ $99.99. Also got one of those Type Is graded PR68CAM bidding @ $5.00.
Maybe Ebay members are smarter then Teletrade members?
Doesn't look like the 76S sold. I wonder if it was Teletrade's auto-bidder thing opening it at the last realized price or something. And that piece being the toned one that braddick mentioned.

Ya think? Teletrade buyers have been continuously paying over double the ebay price for 2002-P MS68 Sac's. It is getting almost comical to watch. For what it is worth, this ike did not sale (still showing a pending price, while others do not).

Aren't there two clads for that year, the Type 1 being the pricey one?
OOPS. Just noticed you said that. Sooner or later, I'm going to have to spring for one.

I am with you, Teletrade has not been on my preferred internet coin sites.
Now looking at my New Year's resolution list ... nope, still not on for 2003.

If ignorance is bliss, shouldn't we have more happy people ??

Michael
I've bought coins on Ebay and sold them on Teletrade.
There is a lot of crossover but there are some differences between the people that bid and what stuff brings.
