Thanks for the article. I guess, fron the article , if the fingerprint has appeared on the coin
then is it too late. That is the way I read it. what do you think
Thanks

I guess it can vary but from now on if I get a coin back from pcgs with a fingerprint I won't wait on getting it taken care of.
Any coin shops in Hollywood?
just an idea

I can't tell much from the picture about the fingerprint. If it wasn't there before you bought it you might want see if it can be removed.
It's the Andre Dawson, Arrows and Rays half in MS-64. A spectacular coin that's as beautiful as any proof coin i've seen.
here's the reverse...
I think that because the fingerprint has been there that long it probably would be hard to remove and doing so might do more harm than good at this point.
Maybe ask in a seperate thread or the Q&A section about fingerprints and grade.
If the coin was slabbed before the fingerprint showed up it might effect the grade and getting ngc to review it first might be finacially benifical unless you plan to only cross at the same grade or higher then you would only be out the grading fee if it dosen't cross.
My original post here was 'would [it] actually be worth more', meaning: is it worth my time to pursue getting in contact with Andre Dawson and asking him about whether it's his or not? Last I heard, he's in florida somewhere.
