Help - What is the grade of this Raw 1893 Columbian Half ( Warning 4 big scans 34K+)

I bought this a few months ago. It doesn`t have a grade on the flip and got it because it looks pretty nice. I intend to keep it raw and wanted your opinions to satisfy my curiosity of what grade it is.

  • I'm gonna swag it at AU-50 due to the wear on the sails...

    Maybe EF 40-45

I have a question about this coin. Keep in mind i am learning and have a long way to go. I noticed some dirt spots in between the numbers and letters,
Would this indicate that at some point that this coin was cleaned?

    Thanks

  • I never thought about it myself. It`s possible. Here`s a slightly closer look at the date. Thanks for the replys.

yes, but likely only in the most inoccuous way - ie. simply handsoap & tap water will clean a coin like that. NO effect on value.

    my grade: xf-40

    K S
