  • Bill - looks like a wonderful piece, but the picture is a little dark - can you tell us some of the highlights of the coin and some of the detractors if any?

    Dear cosmicdebris

Be still my Heart, is this a 1943 MS67 Walking Liberty Half Dollar?
I have decided that 2003 i was going to corner the market on this date in 67 grade and the 1941 also.
    Pic is a tad dark

  • Bill,

I'll wait for an updated picture, but I can safely say that this appears to be at least MS66 (and a likely MS67).

Give us a better picture to see if we can give you a better grade.

I want to say 67 but that little ding on the sun scares me.

  • WOW Bill - I agree with Kelso - doesn't get much better than that!!! Wonderful coin!

  • A very high-end MS66 (the reverse is probably a MS67 in that even the neck feathers are very strong).

MS66 even with the ding on the sun? Maybe I should send it in to get slabbed.

That is a Nice Coin. Looks to have a very nice strike and clean. Grade wise it sure looks 66 compared to the ones I have seen. Cool Coin. Thanks.

  • 66, that mark on the sun is a focal point, they are graded just like the Modern Eagles it seems!

  • What will you show us next, a 69? If I didnt see the reverse and date, I would have thought you were shrinking Eagles!

Nice looking Walker, with a good strike. I see what appears to be a dig on liberty's right breast. A couple frost breaks obv right field and a hit on liberty's belly. I would call this a 66. If that's a dig on liberty's right breast it bothers me more than the one on the sun. Even though I see these all the time with such marks. Nice looking coin though.

Here are some closeups of the dings you guys have pointed out. I hope you guys still think it will make MS66 with them. If so I am goin gto deffinately send it in. By the way I only paid $30.00 for it.

Those dings are a bit too detracting to qualify this coin for anything higher than 65, but the lustre is exceptional. MS65

The strike seems superior, as well as the luster. There are more than a few marks in the focus areas. Looks like it should still 6.
Heck, for $30 I'm not sure if it matters imageimage
