Are coins that are sent back to PCGS in their original holders for regrades, looked at harder than if they were sent in raw?
US Navy CWO3 retired. 12/81-09/04

Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.

Coins that are sent in to PCGS for regrade are cracked out of the holders and sent into the grading room raw. The graders do not know they are regrades. We do guarantee that the grade will not go down.

If we submitted our own previously coins to PCGS...we don't due to our conflict of interest policy...but if we did, I would always use the regrade service and I would never crack out coins unless I wanted to dip one.
