Help with 1923-s Merc Pricing Please----

I am currently the high bidder on this coin on ebay and of course I would like to win--but--I don't want to go way over either.

Can someone give me a grey sheet price or some other pricing to help me determine the top price range in which I should be.

1923SMS61

Thanks!
Tony

    Tony:

I think I would request a better photo if you have already not did so. To be a 61 something has to be wrong I would think. Hey why dont you go for the 66 coin in the Heritage Auction. It looks real pretty to me. image

Opps.... forgot to give you a price. My year old Gray Sheet says $130 Ask for a MS60. All that I have seen, I believe, in the last year or so have went for better money than what is stated in the Gray Sheet. Tough date and alot of people are after it.

  • Heritage gives a range of $150-190... so you've got a little bit higher to go before you're pushing it. But there's still 4 days left.... Best of luck.

  • I believe a 23-s in 64fb just sold for
$1450 on e-bay,but as ken said I would ask for a better
scan on a 61 coin, but the 23-s usually will bring more than sheet

I looked at the coin and noticed it's in an NGC holder and may or maynot cross over to a PCGS holder. If you are thinking of using it in the PCGS regisatry wait untill one in a PCGS holder comes along
