Strange Find

Can anyone here help me with this coin. I know it's rare simply because I have never seen
This kind of money in any of the 40 or so Countries that I have visited.

    Looks like a hobo nickel to me. I'm sure there are others here who can tell you for sure...
    It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    What this coin appears to be is a "hobo Nickel". It is an obverse of a Buffalo Nickel dated 1937 that has been modified, perhaps during the 1930's if it is authentic. I am not an expert on "hobo nickels" and from the scan I do not know if it is authentic. There are specialty groups out there that specialize in this art form and it has quite an active membership. Original hobo nickels are highly sought after. Sorry I can't be more help...
