Crossover from SEGS, 1838-C $5

I recently got a coin that was sent in for grading to segs by a dealer a few months ago. I'd prefer it to be in a pcgs slab but am concerned they may not slab it. It came back with the notes 'Baggy/Cleaned'. The striking is poor and the wear isn't too severe (the grade is xf-40). Is there someone at pcgs who specializes in coins minted in Charlotte?

PCGS is brutal on Southern gold. I just got a AU-53 New Orleans $5 and in any other holder it would be a MS64-65. Forget about getting it into a PCGS, ANACS yes, NGC maybe. In the future don't buy SEGS, ACG, NTC or other second/thrid rate slabs you are only asking for trouble.

Thanks for the tip. I've never bought coins for the slab, if I did, perhaps i'd have more than just 3 or 4 in pcgs. And I guess it'll stay that way for a few more years atleast, unless anyone gives me any better hope. Just wish more people knew how to grade coins...
