After reading a couple threads recently about buying rolls at the bank, I decided to give it a shot for the first time in probably 18 years.
I bought a bunch of SBA's and Sac's over the last week, and found nothing of interest. I got more enjoyment annoying people by using them to pay for various purchases.
Today, I got 7 rolls of JFK's, sat down rubbing my hands together in anticipation, and every last one was 98-D. Mostly unc, but nothing worth keeping. Maybe next time.

Yeah nothing has come out of hard to find rolls for me like Sacs , kennedys , SBAs.

Now if I can get my hands on fed reserve rolls I feel Ill have a better chance.

I feel as if IM going behind another cherrpicker in non fed reserve rolls.

Yeah, I got 22 SBAs last week and have been annoying people with them. Used 6 for gas and the attendant said she didn't want them but merry christmas. At a fast food place, the person thought I gave them quarters till I made them read the coins. I used them at a used bookstore and they thought they were neat. And I used them at another place where they didn't blink an eye. I just have one or two left now. It's fun to give people something unexpected for the holidays!

eureka, welcome to the forum, maybe next time will be better remember if you buy 10 rolls the 11th one will be the good one.

As the unofficial Kennedy Half Dollar Bankmiester! When you go for rolls, look at them first, the yellow rolls (at least here) are usually all new halves. The brown rolls are the crappy ones (the ones we like). But the best bet is to get the bag off of the coin counting machine. The best one I have had to date had $750 in halves and got almost 100 40% halves. In the rolls you may find 1 or 2 per $100.
