I think I like this one but hate buying raw coins on ebay. Opinions?

    Placid,

I don't know anything about SLQ's, but this seller lists a lot of Two Cent pieces and overgrades every one of them.

......his description seems consistent with the coins appearance and he offers a 7 day return. perhaps you should e-mail any questions and decide what grade you think the coin is. he assigns as CH/BU full head which i understand to be MS63.

edited to add------Subdued luster, no cleaning hairlines. to me this means the coin has been over dipped and luster removed with no hailines evident. my experience with PCGS is that it'll be bodybagged as such.

coin is common with a f-h, in fact, i actually think 1/3 of the 1917-t1 have a f-h. coin looks ms-61 to me, not ms-63. value = $175.

Looks MS60 with a cleaned reverse. I would go certified instead.

  • I agree with WingedLiberty. The color seems unnatural.
