Got a 63 and 64 "sealed proof sets" today

Nothing special. Both sets range from I would say pr 66-68. I did get a gold nickel in the 64 set. I am going to re-seal the envelope. The creme colored protection cards are toning red from the red information card. So I will sock this set away for another 10 or 20 years and hope for some increased toning on the nickel. I now have 3 sets a 58, 63, and 64. While I have not found any real treasures the coins are from about 66- 68. I hope. I have a 58 Frankie that is really clean. If PCGS is having a good day I think it could go 69. While I am not getting any finds of the century, I am enjoying bidding and waitng to see what I get. They are averaging about 11 bucks a set. So I don`t think I am doing too bad considering the fun I am having.

I wonder how many times they've been re-sealed again already?

why, so in 20 years you can sell it as a rare unopened proof set from 1963?

edit- did you get an AH kennedy?

Now doesn't mbbiker have a cool Icon?

Sounds like a nice 59 Frankie........... a pr69 would be awesome....

  • Relayer, Probably more times than I can count.
mbbiker. No AH. I am going to re-seal just the 64 envelope hoping to continue the toning that has already started on the nickel. I do not have any intentions on selling the older 90% silver sets I have. I am trying to get a collection of 55-64. I feel these are the most affordable.
