I've finally heard some "modern hype".

Coin Vault is on in the background and the guy just claimed that proof and mint sets are
in high demand and the dealers are sold out and clamouring to get more. While I've seen
nothing to substantiate this there is a grain of truth in it probably. Stocks of this material
seems to be at a low ebb the last several months and some have been moving which have
long been very lackluster. I believe that the reserve of these amoung speculators and the
original buyers is also much lower than anyone may suspect.

But it is still mere hype because there is still a very small demand for these coins so dealers
have no need to clamour for resupply.

Tempus fugit.

i know my local dealer can't get enough of the 1999 proof sets, clad or silver, and he'll buy all the 1996 mint sets he can find as long as they still have the "W" dime. you've ranted image on and on about some of the modern sets, sam. i'm listening if noone else is.

  • So, what you are saying is, you like me?

We can only hope for a Clad Vault to open. By the way, I am sorry things got a bit personal, but as you know, what goes around comes around. Also, I'm more the Paladin while you are more the crafty Rogue, so we were bound to conflict. I do want to admit that modern coins selling on the internet is a generally very good thing for new collectors. The Coin Vault is a real joke however, I think we can agree on that at least image
