PART 2: ICG~Guess The Grade~'59-D Franklin

Continued from this post

For comparison purposes here are two examples of Franklins graded MS65 by NGC. The two on the left are the NGC coins and the one on the right is the ICG.

Now I admit that there are not as many hits on these, but if the ICG one deserves no more than a 63 then do these NGC coins deserve a 65???

NGC Frankies are somewhat looser then PCGs, I still see more rub in the ICG Frankie, around his face, cheek and hair and forehead. I think that would go ms62 in a PCGs slab.

  • I cant speak for others, but I never said NGC was much better!
You can fool man but you can't fool God! He knows why you do what you do!
  • Look at Franklins coat, yours has plenty of hits and marks, whereas the 65's have hardly any. Plus the NGC coins both have what looks like a stronger strike. Look at the hair lock and ear area also. Your coin has a major hit there wiping out the entire ear area and several marks down the hair lock. The lower cheek and upper jaw area are much cleaner on the NGC coins also.
