Sometimes Ya Gotta Go For It!!!

Spotted this green holdered jefferson and figured it was from back in the days when their was no designation placed on the holder for CAM/DCAM. Should at least go to CAM and I wondered what everyone else thought.

I currently have a similarly holdered 1981 PR68 listed on eBay which isn't noted as T1/T2 or DCAM when it's a T2 DCAM. That's what tipped me.

    Keets,
Looks like a nice grab! If the coin looks like the photo, you have a cam!

    Keets,
At least a cam. There may also be light gold toning. Another thing to look for if there are 5 clear steps, possibly 6.
Melding of the steps usually occur under the 2nd pillar for the SMS dates. Be sure to let us know just how nice it is.

It's a $15 coin and after you spend $10 to have PCGS grade it 65 Cam you now have a $25 coin.
It was graded during PCGS's generous years. Look at the white spots on it and the tick on the face.
The brown color looks like it was dipped years ago and it just might come back NG.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

    Keets,

I'll be happy to submit it for you. You know I have a knack for getting them placed into pop-top holders.image

    Dog,

If he sent it in for designation review (not cracked it out) it wouldn't come back as a 65.

    Keets:
I have always enjoyed the luster on SMS Jeffs and their prooflike qualities. Good luck with it.
I think PCGS will give you the CAMEO designation.
