1927-D Peace Dollar with pictures and grade

I`m on a kick again to post another coin that I have. As with the other picture post from the day before, I`d tried to keep any enhancements down to as minimal as possible. Mainly if I keep the scanner settings on default, you don`t see the ticks and nicks as clearly as with tweaking around with the sharpness. At least thats looks to be the case with my scanner and I want to show the ticks and nicks to " keep it honest " and try to show some of the warts.

So enough of the babbling and the coin grades PCGS AU55. PS the coin is twisted in the holder.

The mintmarks on the peace dollars sure are small.
Even as big as the coin is in the picture I can't make it out.

  • Here`s a close up of the mintmark. It isn`t the best quality scan. If anyone has any suggestions on inproving the quality, let me know. I found the mintmark annoying too in the first post and I guess I`m trying to be as accommadating as I can.

I think it's a great set of scans. I'd love to buy that coin at that grade based on the pictures you put up. That's the image quality I like to see. Very nice.
