Watching Andy Griffith while online, the following just took place:
Barney: I'm gonna invest in stocks.
Andy: Careful. There are a lot of scams out there!
Barney: Oh, not for eagle eye Barney Fife. I know what I'm doing.
Andy: Well, why don't you invest in something else, like coins?
Barney: Coins? You kiddin'?
ANDY: No. Some coins are rare. (Reaches in desk) Take this nickel.
I paid a fella ten dollars for it the other day. Another fella
offered me $50 the next day. There's only two or three of 'em
though, so I'm gonna wait until I can get $200.
Barney: $200? For a nickel?!
Andy: Yeah. The fewer there are, the more they're worth. The mint
made a mistake on this one. The buffalo faces the wrong way.
Barney: No foolin'. I won't give you no $200, but I'd give you $50.
Andy: Shakes his head.
Barney: How 'bout $75?
(They shake on the deal and Andy gives Barney the nickel. Barney, standing across the desk now from Andy pulls out another nickel.)
Barney: Hey this buffalo's facing the same way.
Andy: You sure? Give me that rare nickel. Which way is yours
facing?
(Barney points to the right.)
Andy: See there, this here rare buffalo is facing the other way.
(Barney now comes around to Andy's side of the desk)
Barney: Oh yeah, I see.
(It finally dawns on Barney that the nickels are identical.)
Andy: See Barney. I just wanted you to see how easy it is to get
took.

Rob Petrie inherits an old desk from a great uncle. Inside is a small bag of buffalo nickels. (They must be funnier than other coins, I guess.) They invite a rare coin dealer over while Laura, Buddy and Sally paw through the nickels.
Dealer: Those coins are not worth much.
All: Really? They're so old!
Dealer: (Consulting Red Book) It says here that if you have a pair;
one on a mound and the other on the plain, they are worth
a couple hundred dollars.
Rob: Here everybody. Grab some coins and let's see what we have.
(They all grab some and start looking)
Laura: Mound
Sally: Mound
Rob: Mound
Buddy: Here's one!
Sally: Is it on the plain?
Buddy: No the plane left. Its on the bus!
