That's just sad. The auction description does say "reproduction" but it's certainly not prominent. Don't these normally go for about $5-10?
I don't think ebay should allow reproductions to be sold in the same category as the original items.

I've seen those AHS reporductions before. His picture makes it look better than it does in real life. If I am not mistaken the GMM reproductions are still available for $15 and they are in real copper, unlike this piece, and they are excellent reproductions.
You are absolutely correct. Those disgusting AHS reproductions (they really do look like sick cow dung) are being sold by the hundreds in bulk on eBay for a few dollars (a case of 300 for $199). They are the wrong size and wrong metal - just junk! The Royal Oak Mint reproductions are copper, and the correct size and very well done - they go for $14-$20.
$66 dollars just goes to show that "There's a sucker born every minute, and two scoundrals to cheat him."
Odd auction -- I remember fugio replicas going for 10 bucks or so earlier this year. I haven't checked out fugio replica auctions in a while so I can't say this is a trend, but I would guess this is not typical of fugio replica sales.

I think EBAY should create a prominent 'warning flag' or 'warning notice' that sellers of copies or counterfeits are required to post as part of their auctions. It could be easily done as a box to check as the seller is creating his coin auction description. If a uniform warning notice or sign was required there would be far less risk or mistaken bids.
