Antique coin cabinets

Can anyone help me? I am looking for any infomation I can get on old coin cabinets. The kind old time collections were kept in. I would very much like to get one for myself, but have only heard about them and have never seen a picture of one. Does anyone have any ideas on where to even start looking for one or a picture so that I could download and take with me to local antique shops. anytime I stop in one and ask about them all I get is a blank stare.

I grabbed the scans here. Resized them a bit to keep load times down.

and in the back one of the last if not the last pages gives a really good photo of the cabinet that was the standard and used by many mid to late 1800's numismatists with a detailed description of the cabinet i am sure if you contaced the ana or ans they could make you a photo copy of the page and a photocopy of the descritpion page or as i remember it is all on one page? well i sold my copy 1860 of the book long ago when i disbanded my numismatic library holdings now i just keep more modern references which i sometimes use
if you do not have any luck with this in teo weeks pm me and i will go to a friends lib here in rochester and look it up for you in his books and send you a photocopy of all the cabinets in his ancient numismatic tomes

My family has been in that antique furniture business since 1945. We have not seen one of these through the business, but we have an excellent cabinet maker that could very well make one.
Obviously it wouldnt be $100, but if there is some REAL interest, I could have him check those images, decide if he has the time. Then get a quote on its price...
Let me know a ballpark everyone thinks would be a decent price, and I will see what he can do...
It would be a very nice peice. Not fiber board and staples
Obviously, after those pictures, I would love to have one too!

ps. Also, list wants and other things that may not have been in a cabinet of yore. Also, dimensions would be nice to know about.

Well - I don't have a handle on any of the antiques right off - but there are still those who make them. Of course it would be wise to consider what Chippewa said. You should also consider what they used to call cabinet wear - slide marks produced on coins by their storage in these cabinets. But in modern day coin holders - this could be avoided. Don't know if the same can be said about certain toning effects. But the powder-coated metal ones should not have that problem.
