PS2 Internet adapter help

I just bought this today and need some help... Im trying to hook this up using my DSL connection.. I got all my DSL hook up info, but Im confused on what I unplug to plug into the adapter (if that makes sense).. Since Im using DSL I would hook it up to the broadband connection (the one that comes covered up when you get it, right?) So I 2 telephone cords on the back of my modem (one DSL and another phone line I think?) One says Phone by it and the other says line... The DSL line is from my computer to my modem (right?) and my phone line is from my modem to my telephone (right?)... So would I unplug the wire from my computer to modem and put that in the broadband slot on the adapter and then put in all the info?? So it would basically be like it is now except the PS2 would be where the computer would be?? Is there an easier way to do this or am I wrong.. Also is there an extension you can buy to reach the PS2... I know there is telephone line extensions but if your hooking up a DSL cable would that require a different extension?? PLMK Sorry if this is unclear.. You can always aol me.. My im name is Cardinal2688.. Thanks

  • I'm using a Router for my connection. If you have highspeed access on the net, you don't need to blow all that cash on a PS2 Network adaptor (it's a rip off by the way) you can get a USB high speed hook up that goes in the front of the system for like $10 on ebay.

If your going to have multiple connections at once (say internet and PS2) then you will need a router. If your on phoneline not sure...might need to split that one too. Either way you will need something to have the extra connection unless you want to unplug and put in directly into the PS2 everytime you want to play (which sucks).
