Kennedy Roll Finds - Rainbow Toned 71 Clad

So I had a little extra time around the holidays and decided to give the $500 in Kennedy thing a try. Well, it was a waste, kinda. One 1 1967 silver, nothing else. Mostly circulated pieces of crap. But I did manage to cherrypick a couple of high AUs low MS out of the rolls.

So I'm gonna start a Kennedy Dansco Album. Found a total 33 coins for it, mostly D-mintmarks with a couple of Ps, no SanFrans at all.

The 1 saving grace is that I found a 1971-D clad toned piece. Beautiful with greens, reds & golds covering the reverse and rainbow between 9-1 on the obverse. Found it in the last roll. It's gotta be odd to find a clad toned Kennedy in a roll. It also appears to have no wear or bag marks. Probably a nice 63-65.

I have $500 in SBAs to finish off this weekend. Wonder what that'll hold.

  • Yeah Im looking into doing a large bag of coins of some type. Where did you get the bag, like the size of the bank. Everywhere I go they only have rolls but never any bags.

  • That's pretty cool, in my last search, I also found a nice toned coin from the 70s, don't remember the year since I didn't save it. Last year I put together a complete set of Kennedys from circulation in a whitman folder, found all but the 70-D! It was a lot of fun, now I am working on SBAs and Ikes.
