Price disparity

The other night I happened to catch the last show of 2002 for the HSN coin vault. I only watch the show to look at the coins, the prices are astronomical! To illustrate the point they had a series of BU SAEs for $600. I found the same series of 1986-2002 SAEs for $177. What a rip off. The hawkers on that show are so obnoxious that my Wife makes me mute the speaker so she does not have to listen to the drivel. So I show her where the $177 series is and she says " Why doncha buy 'em. They are a bargain compared to HSN!" I did not buy the series as that would destroy the fun of hunting out the right deal on the correct grade with the correct date. But I did think, Hmm, maybe this will work for my walker obsession...

Just a thought,

Dan

I'm not sure why a knowledgeable person would want to buy from the
coin vault. I don't remember seeing the ASE's at that price, but they were
no doubt graded. While the prices tend to be 50% to 100% over typical
wholesale, they are rarely much more.
