Kennedy Half Dollar PR70DCAM report - four made in the last 30 days.

RussRuss Posts: 48,514 ✭✭✭
Looks like David Hall is true to his word. After a total of one made for about three years, the pop of 70DCAMs in the series has gone up by four since 11/26/02. As follows:

1992-S Silver, up 1 to 58
1995-S, up 1 to 8
1996-S Silver, up 1 to 30
1998-S Silver, up 1 to 1

There was also a 1994-S Silver made in the month prior to this period, but that was before the sea change.

How are things in the other series?

Unfortunately, the trade dollar population has not shown a noticeable increase in Proof 70 DCAM. image

There was 2 PF70DCAM Seated Dollars made in the last month, and even one MS69 Early Dollar.

Since all 3 are mine, I'd have to say that that DHall has hit a homerun with me! image

Looks like there will be a bubble sort routine running in the background on the registry for the next few years.image

Makes me wonder how many coins that should be pr70 are already in pr69 slabs.

  • Russ:

You have to believe that with the popularity of Registry sets, many as yet unseen proof sets will start getting looked at and that the population will increase as people send their coins in to be graded - I figure that I have 30-40 post 1970 proof sets that haven't seen the light of day in a long time, how many more people are in the same boat, and how many PR70's are there out there?

  • Russ,

I had a thread on the Registry Forum about "thoughts on 70's" that included all series that have had some movement, looking at years 1999-present.
