Whats the best site to buy slabbed coins... that are affordable. I have seen many differant places but all seem to carry only coins that are way out of my budget. I dont want junk either... maybe a range of $50-400.... And gold, i need gold.

I am assuming that you are looking for something with numismatic value and with gold at its current price level it will be tough to work in your budget. Perhaps your best bet would be a $2.50 quarter eagle Indian Head design [1908-1929]. They are fairly small coins and the gold content is not going to make it too prohibitive.

As to one specific site you will probably have to search for a while to get a feel for prices. Try Heritage, Bowers, and DLRC to start.

you might try e-bay on the modern gold in that price range and Indian Head design raw
hoping to hit a gem but with gold prices moving and I think they will keep moving up
with the US Dollar falling against world currencies,
its a tough time to collect any thing in gold with out paying thru the nose

I want to buy classic gold, u can buy almost all gold exept keys and double eagles for 400 dollars each... in AU-58 atleast.

Definitely ebay - lots of good AU stuff in PCGS & NGC slabs, and raw if you feel lucky. Just stay away from any "no returns" listings. Prices on AU seem to be at or a little below the market most of the time.
