coin pictures better with new video card

I don't know much about computers and a while back a friend told me a better video card would help me with viewing coin pictures. I just installled a new one and it has helped the picture quality and they seem to load much faster on the internet. I wish I would have known about this technology earlier it might have helped on some ebay auctions. I was wondering what others use for video cards? and your thoughts on them. mike

I am currentl using ATI's Radeon 9700 tecnology with dvi output,Fast ,crisp, sharp images.
