We feel either one of the hockey boxes has it over any 02 baseball but then we are boycotting baseball so we might be slightly biased.
We completed the 01-02 Topps Heritage Hockey set.We are planning on doing the 02-03 also.Buy some boxes of that so we can help each other put the set together.Have fun with whatever you decide!HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

  • Pacman- That's what I'm thinking so far, not sure I want a patch of a nobody though, would have to check the checklist.

Bobstar- I was looking at some hockey boxes, and might pick one up anyway. I'm not too thrilled with the look of the base set of this year's Heritage, the BAP looks ok, but I'd probably go for a Canada Hobby box of UD1 if I went hockey.

Decent chances of getting a good player, or a SP bad player image. Dunno, leaning towards SPA, like the autos image.

How much do the above boxes go for? I was looking at a 2003 Topps hobby box, but the selection of inserts and their seeding doesn't seem worth it since I get the factory set sealed each year. What's a good box for about $50 with decent seeds or selection? I opened Fleer Triple Crown with either a GU or Auto 1:24 packs (1 per box). Anything like this or better, relatively inexpensive? Has anyone opened Topps T206 boxes? Anything good and what's the difference between series.

    Thanks

  • The boxes above are going for $40-$60, with the exception of the Fleer Platinum hobby which is $29 each. Dave and Adam's
  • Scratch that, it's $25 a box for the Platinum.

Anyone with an opinion on T206?

  • << <i>Anyone with an opinion on T206? >>

Posted this on the Message Boards at Topps, and got this reply:

"If i were you I would go for the topps 206. I know that these boxes may be a little cashy, but its history. You get not 1 but 2 game used/auto 20 minis and 120 regular cards and 18 team 206 cards. I bought a box and loved what i got. I even pulled a original 206 (very nice by the way) If you want to keep the inserts you could nearly build the set and sell it, or keep it and buy series 1 and 3. LMK what you buy. thanks."

I love the way the cards look in T206, and the Game-Used sets look nice as well, but the autos in SPA really catch my as well...what to do...
  • Chad, thanks for doing the leg work. I've never been to the Topps boards. I am seriously considering a T206 box; we'll see.

  • Yep, I'm looking at one too. Just saw on eBay about 4 or 5 pre-sales of Series 3 with buy it now's of $59, might just get one of those, but they don't ship out until late January. I'll probably go with the series two though, if you get one within the next 2 or 3 weeks, let me know how you did image.
