Bubbly 1980s Lincolns

Because of improper mixing and other reasons Lincoln cents made in 1980s; quite a large number of them; have surface bubbles. Do these bubbles refect negatively on the grade when compared to the coin with "normal" surface or are they neutral like die cracks?

Some of the Lincolns in the 1980s do indeed have bubbly surfaces. It is a negative and can affect grade depending on the degree of "bubblyness." If a coin is just a little bubbly, it probably wouldn't effect the grade much. If they are really bubbly, like some I've seen, then the grade could get reduced a point or two due to "negative eye appeal."

    Good question.
