Edited--Which coin is PCGS PR69?

I offer for your viewing two proof 2002-S Tennessee quarters. Which one would you grade PCGS PR69 and why? What you’re looking at is the music score under the guitar on the reverse of the coin.

Thanks

I've edited this because what I am looking for is which coin would receive the PCGS PR69 designation and why, not which one is DCAM or not.

  • I'd pick the first one John - It looks much more frosted than the second one, therefore much more contrast needed for the DCAM designation.

    John,

Put up pics of the obverse and reverse of both coins. It is impossible to call either dcam based on just those pics. Sorry.

  • Top one shows much more detail than the other.

The bottom appears to have a deeper cameo

    Top. Frost seems better.

.........top one looks like "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" and the bottom one looks like "Ring of Fire" so it's a bit hard to tell. I think if they woulda used "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" we'd have a real controversy on our hands!!!

I'm just glad the graders use the naked eye or we might have.............oh, never mind!!image

  • Hey keets, that's an interesting point -- any musicians on the board that can read that score?
