this is not a "who can tell a 70 from a 69 anyhow message" that arguement is too played out and tired.......... anyhow,
I noticed some new 70 dcams appearing lately, which is nice, (i like moderns) but i am confused why the same couple of dealers have them...... Doesnt anyone else have a good eye?
Should we not trust PCGS anymore??? Do some dealers have more influence over the grades then public people? I know PCGS says that coins go to grading anonymously, but i find that hard to believe. Too many stupid things happen...for instance, i sent in an NGC 1955 pr69dcam lincoln in for a crossover... came back a pr67cam. That was disappointing. then I cracked it out and send it back with some free grades i had earned, and it came back LOWER! pr66rd cam. Whats going on? its the same coin! I know it is definately a 68cam.... and thats what it should have been from the start. Seems too much strage stuff over there.

Is PR67RD CAM a lower grade than PR67CAM? I thought the "RD" was just something they began adding to the labels recently.

That was my understanding as well.

pr66rd cam...... so yes it was lower
just do not break this coin out of its holder as the value is in the slabbing service pricing this coin in its holder out of the holder the price is another story!
also ask yourself what is this coin worth it the holder?
waht is the coin worth out of the holder raw?
if the price difference is great then you have more information to base your decsison on and remember it is your decision!
now maybe the demand will be great and the buyers of these coins will be rewarded monetairly
but for me i could not in good conscience sell such coins in 70 holders for the price they are now bringing
and that is me my reasoning is buy the coin not the holder
the coin for the most part is the most important part
i am sure many coins are maximised by the holder and that is okie but if most of the value of the coin is in the holder which i think many of these ultra high grade modern coins are then
just make sure if you buy these coins buy then with eyes wide open and do not have ANY EXPECTATIONS AT ALL and buy what you like for fun and a hobby with money you can afford to lose
