It came from the same set as the famous whizzing Minuteman quarter!

[/sarcasm on] What are the odds that someone could find two unbelievably valuable coins in the same proof set! Some guys have all the luck. [/sarcasm off]

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I had to laugh at that un-gold plated SBA. He says "5 errors", one of them being "not found by QC". In that case, a lot of crappy coins in proof sets are errors, too, I guess.

  • one of five known off-center 1999 SBA Dollars that were struck on PROOF planchets

When did Philadelphia stop striking proofs...1964 if I'm not mistaken. Yet this is a P mintmark coin.

    That SBA is really interesting.
Interesting that Fred Weinberg, largest error dealer in the cointry and member of PNG sells gold plated errors, hey I saw the auction it's true.
Interesting that KingKoin removed the gold plating.
Interesting that the planchet has no copper core.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

Why Dog, wouldn't that be counterfeiting?image
