Economy submission (pre-65): Five weeks and counting ... anyone else receiving such poor service?

I am sorry, but I have had it. Five weeks ago, my economy submission of 11 coins arrived at PCGS and still, no grades. I would hate to think how long the wait would be (?) had not the ever-helpful Charlie intervened and help bump them up in the line. He reports they were sealed in holders last Thursday, but still no grades. Not to tinkle ('tis the season, after all) on all the other board members posting results from submissions received early this month, but geeessh!

My last econ submission (pre 1964) took 6 weeks. But I was very happy with the grades...

Submitted 3 crosses and 3 raw coins on November 13 - 42 days ago and still waiting. Last batch took 28 days, previous batch took almost 50 days. Wish I could say the wait was well worth the results. Still hoping for a PCGS Xmas present but not holding my breath.

I've got 79 coins in there since 11/19 and I'm still waiting. Yet Frattlaw sends his in on 12/2 and has the results. What's wrong with this picture?

I think you're right. However, these were all Lincolns that they like to murder me on, so I expected them to be graded any day now so they could grinch my Christmas.

I heard a rumor that they were overgrading every third Lincoln submission. They just posted number two, and it arrived 11/18.

I submitted 2 invoices on 12-3. The moderns posted two days ago. The pre-64 economy is in a holding pattern. Based on this thread, I'll expect them mid-January.

My last economy was received 11/13 and shipped 11/16.
It only had 5 coins on it.

I submitted 40 raw at Santa Clara, eco service and got back in 3.5 weeks.

I feel that is the way to go especially if packages are getting hijacked in Newport Beach PO!

I am working on 4 weeks for a "Regular" submission. I think losing Rick really screwed things up. I had a "modern" submission grade in 2 weeks this month.

Moderns moving really fast!
Regular move very slow!
Economy... forget about it!

I used to think that NGC economy service was really slow. Well, PCGS is now taking longer.

I'd sure like a response from PCGS as to why submission results seem to have no bearing on when they were submitted.

I sent two submission forms in one box. Both were received on 12/3. The first submission was a Spanish Trail half to be pedigreed to my Overland Trail Collection. It was shipped today. The other had modern commems, still no grades on them. What gives?
