Wacky World of 1956 PSA's

A few days ago I had 13 1956 PSA-8's on eBay, overall they did very well. A couple at or below SMR and a few for multiple SMR levels. I know pretty well the nuances of the sets I collect, but wasn't too sure of what the results would be on them. Now the auction below for a PSA-7 makes my 8's seems like chicken-feed - Ouch!!1956 PSA-7 common - $510.00!!!

    The pop on this card shows 50 PSA7s and 52 PSA8s - so it's NOT scarce or rare.
    If you look at the bid history, there are only two bids over $500 - BOTH have a feedback rating of zero.

    I wouldn't be holding my breath for payment on this one.

    Yeah, and one of the high bidders retracted a bid stating "the seller is creating a scam"...
    Why do I get the feeling, that some cards are worth money, while others are not?

    I thought the one auction was bad, but it looks like this seller got hosed on every one of his auctions! check it out - that's gotta hurt, all that trouble to send requests for fee rebates.

    Obvious revenge situation. On all auctions, underbidder is "HG351 is a ripoff"; winner is "pay me Lincoln Mortgage". Maybe the seller isn't paying his ex-wife or something like that. Interesting scenario....seller makes nothing this week and he has to relist all his auctions.

    The seller is hg351. One of the tagteam pair at the end had an id of hg351isaripoff. No shill here, just a very disgruntled person wrecking the seller's auctions. Nothing unusual in hg351's recent feedback. Maybe he sniped somebody he shouldn't have. I wonder what "the rest of the story" is.
