Just wondering: Who's the eBay Alpha-male?

Or Alpha-female? Or at least the official eBay old-timer?
Go check your feedback page, and look at your "Member Since" date. What's your date?

Always looking for original, better date VF20-VF35 Barber quarters and halves, and a quality beer.

Apparently, when I originally signed up it was during a beta phase that required confirmation of the account once testing was done. I was using haggle.com at the time for selling and thus didn't go back to eBay for a couple years. When I went back, the account didn't work and they claimed they couldn't fix it. The dipsh!ts even refused to release my own eMail address back to me.
So, I re-signed up with a different handle and eMail, than changed the handle back to what it was originally. They let me do that, but they still won't give me my eMail address back?
Idiots.

I started off on that other site (Box Lot), but they went down.

I was using a Lynx browser at that time. Going through a free internet provider called Nyx which was sponsered by the University of Denver.
I remember walking to school, through 2 feet of snow, up hill both ways...

It's not the oldest, by far, but it is a model of inefficiency that would be hard to beat!
626 positives.
0 neutrals.
0 negatives.
I even remember the first thing I sold. A Soundgarden CD, SOMMS, that was out of print. Sold it for something like $35. I was shocked that someone would pay that much.

Looks like I got to the party somewhat late. Most of my early feedback was from buying CDs...I do remember buying an 1859 Seated Dollar in PCGS AU55 on the side at an early point in my eBaying...it was one the coins that got me back into coin collecting.
I think I have a copy of SOMMS somewhere (buried for so long I forget what it stands for but seems familiar). I know I have a couple of their Sub-Pop releases...maybe its time to throw some CD stuff out there.

Or so says Ebay.

185 positives and one neutral from a computer outfit that charged me $50 to ship a processor that they sent for $13.18. I mentioned this in my positive feedback to them!!!
OH WELL!!
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Holy cow, feedback going all the way back to March 31, 1996. Thirteen weeks shy of 7 years. Now that's experience! I'm shocked eBay was even around then.
Dave
There were a few people on eBay before me. After all, I did have to muddle my way through all 7 of the items listed in the Computer category before I found something I liked.
