More Kudos for NGC!

I gotta say, I am impressed. As I posted I got 3 coins BBed @ NGC and a apology letter from John Maben, their finalizer.

Of course I wrote back and said thanks. He then gave me a little insight into the reasons for the body-bags and I asked if he could look at one particular coin before it leaves, because I just didn't agree with the BB. He tells me that is too late but I should send it on back with another submission for another look by him, personally.

That was my first submission to NGC, it was a freebie and I'm not that active on their forums, hence I am the little guy.

That's customer service!

I'm not saying PCGS su*cks and NGC is great. I'll still submit coins to PCGS for certain sets. But as for NGC's customer service -- TOP NOTCH!

Glad you're happy with their service, Mike. Just curious, which ones bodybagged, and have I seen those coins?

NGC is great, and in my opinion more objective on copper, gold, and toned coins in general.

As much as I apprieciate good customer service I have to put my two cents here. An APOLOGY LETTER?????????? I'm sorry but that just sounds stupid and moranic to me. They are trying to bend over backwards a little too much for my taste. That's bass aackward. It's not their fault that the coins were bagged. I don't feel very confident about company thay "raises the shields" every time someone starts b**ch and complain. I'll stick with PCgs they are tough and usually fair. As far as learning about BB coins I suggest buying some NCS, anancs NET, or SEGS problem coins for reference becouse when it comes to BB coins there is no book, just experience.

Yes, god forbid NGC offer to examine the coins to make sure there wasn't an error bodybagging the coins. Don't they realize they are grading gods, like PCGS, and never make mistakes? Frattlaw is just a stupid customer. Who needs to make customers feel like they are getting good service for their money?

Of course, perhaps if I had sent a coin (proof Franklin that I cut from a proof set) back to NGC when they BB it for AT, they would have examined it to see if they made a mistake? BTW, the coin arrived back yesterday from PCGS slabbed. So much for a service not making mistakes. image
