Clipped Jefferson nickel

I have a clipped Jefferson nickel, I was wondering how much it is worth? The clipped part is above the
monticello thru the "E Pluribus". Thanks

If you are going to a dealer, do not expect any more than maybe 50 cents or even a dollar. Now, if it is an early rare date, than you can get more for it. However, if it is a 2002, expect to get ALLOT of cash for it. Those os the 60s and 70s are quite common. Earlier ones would bring a bigger preium. 2002 will bring allot because of the tighter security for errors.

A recent auction on eBay for a 2002-D unplated Lincoln cent sold for over $900.00 ($960, I think). In any other date, this coin would have sold for maybe $150.00 or less.
  • They are listed in the red book at $4 average uncirculated, 10 to 25%, depending on nature and size of clip. image
  • There are a pair of 1956 ANACS certified Jeff clips in AU58 closing on ebay in a few hours that you can pick up for $15 each!
    ahhhh....... SODO MELVIN?????
