There's an ad in this week's Coin World on page 62 for this book. Ad says book is "Just released". I don't see it listed on Doug Winter's site, raregoldcoins.com
Ad says "Complete analysis, mintage figures and photos for each of the 43 Type I Double Eagles. All die varieties. 228 pages of stunning detail. Written by noted coin experts Douglas Winter and Adam Crum."
The ad is by Monaco Financial. Their offer is this book, plus a 2002 Special Limited Edition Redbook ($150 value), and a 2-year Gold subscription to The Coin Market Insider newsletter ($158 value) for $29.95. The values shown for the special Redbook and the newsletter are what Monaco quoted them as.
I hadn't heard of this book before, and find it curious it's not on Doug Winter's site if it's his latest book. Perhaps it was commissioned by Monaco for only them to distribute?

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

The cover story for this month's monthly Grey Sheet is a two-page summary or excerpt from the book, and it lists Adam Crum of Monaco Financial as a contact person at the end of the article.
Perhaps it will be on DW's website soon. I think his other co-authored books are (I'll have to check, though.)
