Heritage and the refresh button...why?

Over half the time when I hit the back button (when previewing auction lots) I have to hit the refresh button. Other times, it's not necessary. Can anyone explain why?? It's about the only site I visit where it's necessary and it's really iritating!!!image

    I don't think their website has worked right for me once in 3 years. My favorite is when the site freezes twenty minutes before the close of their exclusively internet auctions.

    I have that problem all the time and it's very frustrating! Must be unique to us Washingtonians! Too close to the Evil Empire of Microsoft for things to function well? image

    I have the problem also...and I'm not especially close to Washington (I'm in Florida). I have to hit the refresh button on the first page of a listing, eg, if Mercury dimes have 3 pages of listings, I have to hit the refresh button on the first page. On the second and third page I don't need to hit the refresh button. It is VERY frustrating!

    For what it's worth, at work I use Windows 2000 and IE; at home I use Windows XP Pro and IE.

    In guess they tell someone something different all the time.They told me to get rid of AOL as an ISP.
    They also told me that 4 new T1 lines were installed so even if their EI auction got busy they could handle the bidding.

    They also have 1 866 telebid so if you can't get through on the computer you can hopefully get through on the telephone.

    i have this problem often, and not just with heritage's site. bowers, alpine -- many sites. i use ie on xp. but, i've been using ie on xp for a while now. one thing... i frequently download and apply the updates from ms. perhaps that's a contributor to the sudden annoying prob?

    I HAD the same issue and a 'puter friend came over and changed some settings in the Internet Options menu and voila! no more needing to refresh.

    I still have no idea what he changed but it took all of about 30 sec.
