NTC Grading: How do they rate?

I've started to see quite a few NTC slabbed coins for sale, how do they compare to PCGS-NGC-ANACS?

NTC stands for Numistrust Corporation.

But most folks here spell it New Mistrust Corporation.

Does that give you any idea?

slightly better than the new PCI gold cr@p, which is slightly better than ACG cr@p, for whatever that's worth. there are some nice coins in NTC slabs, they just always sell for cr@p money... and no one mentioned the bile green insert yet.

Forum members bidding on an NTC half dime? I'm shocked...

I am bidding on it for 2 reasons:

1. My slab collection since it has no grade
2. As a learning tool for some members of my local coin club so they can see an AT coin and one in a slab!

Most of what I've looked at in mint state gold has been 1+ points too high in my opinion. I've recently looked at a couple MS64s, I would have graded both as strong MS62s

Haven't really looked at the NTC junk, but it looks about like ACG.

But I really do like Lord M's 2 centers. They are beautiful!!!!!!!

actually, first noticed coin last night when Michael Dixon was still high bidder and it's worth noting that NTC refused to grade the coin. PCI and ACG would have... heck, even ANACS would have given it a NET grade.
